52 Comms Mix Up, In-depth

I did forget to ask Chuck Hemann about his love of argyle. And for that, I apologize.

This is the fifth in a series of posts recapping the Blogworld NYC experience. What I learned, who I met, how I’m planning to apply it all to my day job.

When it comes to communications pros I would recommend, the list is pretty substantial. Lot of sharp PR and marketing minds out there. When it comes to digital measurement and analytics pros I’d recommend, the list dwindles. A lot. We’re talking a handful of people. And one of those people is Chuck Hemann.

Chuck took a break from managing the Social Media Business Summit at BlogWorld with Arik Hanson to spend some time with #52CommsMixup. And no, there was no discussion of argyle. That’s my bad.

Topics that were discussed include why digital analytics is this unreachable star and if it really should be, the greatest misnomer about measurement and hating LeBron James. Yep, you heard that right. A completely applicable topic for a former Clevelandite with the series tied 2-2, no?

  • Why has digital measurement become so tough these days? Do people make it too difficult?
  • What is the most common misconception you hear when it comes to digital and social media measurement?
  • I’ve heard you describe yourself as a closet foodie. How did you get interested in food and what do you like to cook?
  • The last question is always reserved for you to tell us about a cause you care a lot about. What’s your passion?
